Park Güell & Sagrada Familia Tickets and Tour

About this experience

You start at the top of the city. The meeting point is Carretera del Carmel 23, by the Park Güell entrance on Carmel Hill, and getting there is up to you. A licensed official guide takes you into the Monumental Zone: up the Dragon Stairway, into the Hypostyle Hall with its columns, and onto the long bench covered in broken-tile mosaic, with the whole of Barcelona below.

Then a private transfer takes the group down to the basilica. One guest describes a minibus, and joining up with the rest of the group at the Sagrada Familia. With skip-the-line entry you see the Nativity and Passion facades and walk into the nave, under the tree-like columns and the colour from the windows.

The tour runs in one language, so nobody waits through a second round of explanations. Hotel pickup is only in the private version, and meals and tips are extra. There is no tower. Guests rate it 4.8 from 1,742 reviews, and free cancellation runs up to 24 hours before.

What guests say

★★★★★

Vincent was one of the best guides I ever had. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate about the park and the Basilica. He also had a great sense of humor. Being able to skip the lines and see all that we wanted to see was a plus. I highly recommend this tour.

I'm glad we took a tour instead of trying to see these sites on our own. The public lines were long and we were able to walk right through security and in.

We were a small group of 6 people at Park Güell. Afterwards, we were taken to the Sagrada Familia in a minibus. [...] Anyone who wants to visit both sights in combination will definitely not go wrong with this excursion.

This tour gave us so much information about Gaudi: his passion for nature, his genius mind, and his goal to bring in others to help him with his creations. We learned so much more than if we just walked around on our own

Tips before you book

  • Plan your ride up to Carmel Hill. Transport to the meeting point is not included, and the last stretch is uphill.
  • Wear walking shoes and bring water: the listing warns there is a lot of walking on the hill.
  • Dress for the basilica from the start. The basilica's rules ask for trousers and skirts at least to mid-thigh, no see-through clothing, no swimwear and no hats in the nave or the museum. Jeans are fine.
  • Bring a photo ID that matches your booking name. The basilica's FAQ says tickets are personal and carry the visitor's name, and an original photo ID that matches the ticket must be shown at the entrance.
  • Read our best time to visit guide to choose a morning or afternoon start.
